Ragazzi, sono tra i gruppi fautori della n.w.o.b.h.m., la corrente che ha plasmato l'heavy metal per farlo arrivare ai nostri giorni così come lo si conosce..... Nell'80, insieme a saxon, iron, judas, tygers of pan tang, angel witch e pochi altri, ERANO L'HEAVY METAL!!!! HIGH'N'DRY, PYROMANIA, HYSTERIA sono album che hanno fatto conoscere l'heavy alle masse...... e vi pare poco?
E come non pensare a come si sono comportati con Rick Allen quando ha perso il braccio? Erano all'apice del successo (pyromania) e potevano permettersi qualunque batterista, ma hanno invece scelto di aspettare Rick, dandogli tempo di rimettersi e imparare a suonare con un arto in meno.....questa è vera AMICIZIA, spirito di gruppo, e solo per questo meritano il massimo dei voti!!!!!!!!

sei decisamente la memoria storica di questo sito.
E per fortuna!
ma..come non citare il loro LP di debutto, quel "On through the night",
che è una pietra miliare dell'hard rock e della NWOBHM?
Questo disco lo consiglio a chiunque voglia ascoltare buona musica targata anni '70 (eravamo nel 1979 e comunque, qua e là, si sente l'influenza del rock di quel periodo) e, specialmente, canzoni come "Wasted" (veramente cattiva), "Ouverture" (stupenda), "Rock Brigade" (decisamente coinvolgente), oppure "Answer to the master" (ascoltatevi il solo!).
E questo senza togliere niente agli altri brani, tutti una spanna al di sopra della media di quel periodo.
Con "High'n'Dry" hanno toccato l'apice (era ancora la prima line-up del gruppo, con Pete Willis solista): puro hard rock, ben suonato e potente.
Il resto é storia (per chi la conosce).
